This is a one day course useful to anyone who needs to design a database for themselves or others to use. It provides a basic understanding of the four main database "objects": tables, queries, forms and reports and looks at how all these components work together effectively.

You will gain an understanding of the main features of the Access software to be able to create fully functional databases.
Who should attend this course?
You should attend this course if you are currently using an Access database and wish to make changes to it or are creating a new database. It is expected that anyone attending this course will have completed an Access Introductory course or has sufficient knowledge of Access through regular use.
This course covers the following key topics: -
- Understand how to design a table and assign field properties.
- Know how to build relationships between tables.
- Understand how to design and use a lookup table.
- Be able to create simple select queries.
- Understand the basic principles of form and report design.
- Add and edit controls in forms.
- Add and edit controls in reports.
- Create mailing labels.
- Mail merge with Word.
